An evening lane walk.
Date walked: 8th August,2008.
Time taken: About 90 minutes
A book group member told me red kites had been seen this summer in the Fullaford Road area near Callington - this was a mission to see.
Walk down Fullaford Road past east Cornwall farm and a (rather lovely) converted mine building, turn right and up the hill, take the first right past Welltown to Dupath and then right again which brigs you out in the main road at eh beginning of Callington.
Birds: no kites ( but I have only seen kingfishers once on the Tamar!).
Small joys: some terrific views of what seems like strangely old fashioned countryside and the sheer variety of greens that are green
