Pillaton Bridge

2 hrs.

Very grey skies,just dry lower down with mizzle on the higher ground.Very wet underfoot.

Start 6336 at Pillaton Bridge.All lanes goping up the hill to Holwood and Blunts. After Pinglestone take the left down the hill (it barely looks a road) dropping down to Combe Cottage.

Birds: active chaffinches.

Flowers: still some stalwart red campion.

Small joys: autumn colours despite the weather and the lovely old signpost at Blunts. Watch out for Postbox Cottage- which is the letter box and which the post box...
