St Dominick and Bohetherick
Dry and bright initially ending in deep mizzle.
2hrs 15 minutes
Start at St Dominick (403675), with the church on the right facing up the hill take the first lane on the right and head for Trehill Farm.Go straight across the cross road, with great views down to the Tamar and Kingsmill Lake then the left fork dropping gently down towards Halton Quay. The small left turn lane ( with chevrons) goes past Dairy Mill Farm and is a delightful valley. Turn left up the hill towards Fursdon and then take the next right to Bohetherick, after the path to Haye there is a little wayside pond with seat. The lane on the right to Woodland Farm will be great for daffodils, it doesn't go anywhere ( except to the farm). At Bohetherick turn right and return towards Hunters Oak and continue to St. Dominick.
Birds: crows, buzzards
Flowers: butterburs, violets, end of the snowdrops and the begiining of the daffodils (not yet in their full glory).
Small joys:great pigs at Trehill Farm, lambs in the fields and the sense that spring is just about to burst forth
